The Louis S. and Molly B. Wolk Foundation has pledged $500,000 to benefit Powered by Play: A Campaign for The Strong. In acknowledgment of the gift, the museum will name the new admission area—planned to be included in a new state-of-the-art welcome atrium—the Wolk Admission Area.

Schmitt Foundation donate $100,000 to Powered by Play: A Campaign for The Strong to help build three specially designed video game preservation labs as part of the museum’s planned 90,000-square-foot expansion. The labs will provide the equipment and technology necessary to grow and care for The Strong’s world-class electronic games collections and support the work of researchers, faculty, and students from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
